5 ways to spend a day at Bondi Beach

Have you ever wondered what there is to do on one of the most famous beaches in the world?  In this post I’ll take you through how to spend your day at Bondi Beach…

Volleyball

As you make your way onto the beach you are greeted with rows of volleyball courts, absolutely free of charge!  They are available for anyone to use for a fun game of volleyball.

Surfing lessons

Probably one of the most iconic places in the world to surf so why not take a lesson with the pros on Bondi Beach?!  We used ‘Lets Go Surfing Australia’ who were fantastic at making everyone feel confident while having great fun too!

BBQ

Right Opposite ‘Lets Go Surfing’ is a public BBQ area, again completely free!  Where better to have a bbq on the beach,, also a great opportunity to make friends if you’re travelling, it was full of people!

Coastal Walk to Coogee

When talking to locals the no:1 thing they recommended to do at Bondi was the 2km coastal walk to Coogee beach.  It can last about 1-2 hours but the path takes you through the most beautiful beaches and coves with breath-taking views!  Coogee Beach is also a perfect finishing spot; super relaxing with lots of places to stop for food after your long walk.

Bondi Icebergs/Iceberg Bar

Another one of the most famous/most recommended spots at Bondi is the Iceberg Bar.  A bar and restaurant with an idilic view of the beach, located in the Bondi Iceberg Swimming club which is open to the public all year round.  Be prepared though that the bar does require ID for entry so make sure to pack it wirh you for this day trip.

Shopping and Eating

The streets surrounding Bondi Beach are lined with coffee shops, restaurants and shops… perfect for a bit of retail therapy by the beach!  My top recommendation is Bare Naked Bowls, an Acai and Coffee shop, so refreshing on a sunny beach day!
